Hey Guys!
I missed my Monday post (sad face) – those are the toughest! I usually take photos on Sunday and after the overly dramatical (i know this is not a word) stress I go through after taking pictures, I am super wiped and want nothing to do with editing! I wish I was more comfortable in front of the camera because it totally blows taking photos!!! But I have a new plan for next Monday so that I keep up with my resolution for the year!
I am loving this blue pinstripe skirt from Banana Republic and it is only $13.99 right now! There are limited sizes so hurry! I linked another that is just as cute, below, and here is another similar skirt that I love but Zara is not available through the widget I use, so you will only see Zara items linked in the text. I saw it in store this weekend and it is SO cute!
I am literally bringing platforms back (yeah!). I have had these Zara platform booties forever, I think like 2005! I rarely wear them and I decided to bust them out and getting some wear on them. Obviously, platforms are not a thing this season so I linked other navy blue booties that I think are amazing. Navy blue is my favorite color but I get a little shy about wearing the color in accessories, which is total nonsense. Sometimes I get into my little matchy-matchy bubble and forget to experiment. Things don’t always need to match to look spectacular.
This sweater is only $12.99 but unfortunately you can only buy this color in store. The black one linked below is definitely a must, though, and for $12.99 I would buy them both! This is a definite wardrobe staple in black and grey that are perfect to wear alone on warmer days and light enough for layering at night time. The stitch/weave of it gives it a really unique and interesting feel and it is SO soft! Warren actually commented on that. I love when I find great quality pieces like this at a great price point.
I will probably wear this whole ‘fit on date night this weekend. It’s the perfect mix of cozy with an edge for a night out on the town in the Cali winter. You can easily transform this into a work outfit by adding some tights and switching up the booties for a non-platform pair or a pair of pumps. Throw on a pair of sneakers and it is the perf outfit to run errands in or take the kids to school – totally put together and effortless chic!

I’ve always been shy to rock the booties with anything except pants. But – you make it look so fabulous that I need to step out of my comfort zone and try it with a skirt.

Thanks, Karen! This is exactly why I wasn’t wearing them…for like 10 years LOL. I had to step out of my comfort zone as well and now I am loving it!
