Black Eyelet Dress and a Saddle Bag

Giddy up there, ladies!  (my super lame “saddle bag” joke)

Today I am posting something a little bit more transitional.  Although I completely stay away from summer textiles (like eyelet and linen) during the Fall/Winter…CALIFORNIA.  We will be nice and toasty here through November – that is my forecast according to last year.  We basically have summer from September through November.

This black eyelet dress is perfection for this transition time.  Cotton keeps you nice and cool and the eyelet gives this plain shift some interest.  I got this one at Target, but it is no longer available, but I love this similar style from Target.  I’ve linked a few below in different styles and lengths!

I live for this Old Navy saddle bag.  I have gotten so many compliments on this one, which I love when it is a total bargain!  I’m THAT lady that will tell everyone that compliments exactly where I got it and how cheap it was 🙂  I am all about functionality and comfort and having free hands, so I have bought many saddle bags over the last few years – to me is the ultimate bag!

With my ever present ankle pain, I have had to do a lot of flats purchasing in the last 7 years – which KILLS ME!  I was so excited for the block heel to come back in action.  I bought these, not quite really being into them (I am so guilty of this it’s terrible) and to my surprise, they have become a fave – and only $21 (now on sale).  They come in black and brown and are, of course, super comfortable.

I hope you all had a great week and yay for the weekend!!

I love how the light denim jacket compliments your deep black dress. Also, can I just say that your freckles are unique and beautiful!

Thank you Melody. Those freckles are more like sun spots from being at the beach since I was born lol! Must stop going in the sun!! xoxo
