Happy Friday Everyone!
I wore this to brunch with my cousin that was in from SF last weekend. We seriously did not stop talking enough to take a breath – it was such a good time.
It was lightly sprinkling outside so I grabbed this denim jacket for a cover up. My favorite way to layer for spring transitional weather is to keep it as light as possible. Here are a few tips:
- Start with a cami for added warmth
- A sleeveless tunic on top of the cami gives you flexibility and keeps you from getting overheated
- Top the tunic with a lightweight sweater in order to stay warm but not too hot
- Add a jacket as a final cover up and finishing touch
I tend to go from freezing to hot very easily. A tunic creates dimension in your outfit by peeking from below a sweater and adds extra warmth without overheating you! For me, too many long sleeves is overkill and I end up wishing for a tee or a tank. The light jacket on top of all the light layers will keep you toasty once you step outside.
How do you guys like to layer in these crazy transitional months?

My layering style is similar to yours. Instead of a jean jacket, I wear a cardigan most days.
I love how you styled this! I totally wore an outfit so similar to this last week. Super cute! 🙂
