I have to tell you, I am so obsessed with this midi floral dress and velvet boots combination!!! It is so chic, sultry (in a demure way, if that is possible) and most importantly comfortable. I also found this silhouette very slimming, which is always a plus.
I love the little sexy slit in the front which balances the conservative high neck and long sleeves of this midi dress. I was very excited to pair this dress with these amazing burgundy velvet boots that were less than $90!!!
I was going to go full Janis Joplin with this outfit by pairing it with my black faux fur vest and floppy black felt hat, but I wanted the dress and boots to really be the stand outs in this post.
This baby was another one of my Who What Wear finds at Target. Unfortunately, I am the worst blogger ever (self proclaimed and proud) and I didn’t post this dress while it was out in the stores still. I find it really tough to insta-style everything. I always need some time to process and “feel” an outfit. Too much pressure, man! But I will try to get better about this.
Anyway, they have so many new cute midi dresses that I’m linking below…and these may also be on their way to my apartment in about 2.2 seconds (already in my shopping cart). These midi dresses also have the cutest subtle sexy twist with a key hole opening at the decollete.
I am excited to transition this dress into spring and pair it with some skinny strappy sandals for a night out or some flip flops and my go-to staple, the denim jacket. One of my goals this year is to show you different ways to wear the same pieces, so look out for more mixing and matching in posts to come. I am also in the lookout for some black and brown suede booties that I think would look adorable with this dress…and maybe topped off with a moto jacket for some added edge!
I guess this is a good time to also mention that I will be doing a Barefoot on a Budget series! This lady needs to cut down on spending and pay some CCs (yep, guilty *raised hand*) so I will be working with $200 a month and gift cards (of course, *hint hint everyone, thanks – lol*). I know a ton of you ladies do not have these bottomless bank accounts to match the typical blogger repertoire so I am excited to share this adventure with you and save some money as well!
I am hoping that combining a budget and showing different ways to wear your pieces will help some of you out on how to get the best out of your wardrobe!!!
